I am writing to sincerely thank you for the impactful and eye-opening experience I had in your course, Advanced Topics in Medication Safety. I must say, beyond the grade itself, I am truly grateful for what I have learned.
As someone who is planning to go into retail pharmacy after graduation and with the long-term goal of owning my own independent pharmacy, this course was incredibly relevant. It opened my eyes to practical realities, challenges, and safety systems in community pharmacy settings that I had not fully appreciated before.
Your teaching style made the material not only clear and engaging but deeply applicable to the real-world situations I expect to encounter. You brought the subject to life in a way that helped bridge the gap between academic theory and practice, and I believe every student interested in retail or independent practice would benefit immensely from this course.
That is why I wanted to respectfully suggest that Advanced Topics in Medication Safety be considered as part of the required core curriculum, rather than being offered as just an elective. I have observed that our training in pharmacy school is often geared heavily toward hospital, ambulatory, or clinical specialty roles. These are important, but not every student will end up in those settings. Many of us are called to serve in community pharmacies, often as the first line of healthcare for patients. Equipping students with safety training specific to that environment is so essential.
Thank you once again for your passion, excellence in teaching, and for developing such a forward-thinking course. It has truly helped prepare me for the kind of pharmacist I want to become.
Thanks,

"10/10 love her, bring her back. I like how she organized her slides and went over them in the class. She did her best to make students more engaged and including her personal experience as a pharmacist got most of us to pay attention"
